with Jerry Wagner, Ph.D.
The anciently-rich Enneagram Spectrum of Personality Styles and the highly-insightful Love Languages—made popular by Gary Chapman—both impart classic wisdom when it comes to understanding love, personality, and connection with others. This workshop will explore five love languages (words of affirmation, acts of service, receiving gifts, quality time, and physical touch) as well as the nine Enneagram styles and their subtypes, providing a correlational link between the two systems, noting which languages tend to appeal to each Enneagram style. Time will be provided for input, assessment, and reflection; sharing in type-alike groups; and hearing from panels of Enneagram types. Pearls of ancient wisdom from the Enneagram, combined with insights from Love Languages, may assist people from all walks of life, including therapists, clergy members, professionals, and business-minded individuals in the quest to better understand our clients and ourselves, opening up a whole new world for understanding and communication, as well as personal and professional growth.
